Donner Lake Triathlon Advocacy

Donner Lake Triathlon is proud to partner with Truckee Donner Land Trust.

The Donner Lake Triathlon is proud to partner with Clean Up The Lake as the event’s beneficiary. We aim to raise $5,000 to support litter removal operations and aquatic invasive species surveys in Donner Lake. Clean Up the Lake (CUTL) is a 501(c)3 organization with a mission to engage local communities in taking action to protect the environment, both above and below the surface. Our efforts involve working with community volunteers to remove submerged litter from natural waterways and monitor for aquatic invasive species (AIS) to enhance water quality and ecosystem health. We also aim to educate the public about how litter accumulates and how AIS can be transported in unforeseen ways in the environment. 100% of your donation will directly support Clean Up The Lake’s operations in Donner Lake. Please help us reach our goal and donate here if you can.

Donner Lake Triathlon is proud to partner with The Tahoe Fund to promote funding that is used to build, maintain and protect the trails, water quality, wildlife and forest health of the Lake Tahoe basin.

The Tahoe Fund will improve the extraordinary natural environment of the Lake Tahoe Basin by building broad support and funding for projects and programs that restore and enhance the Lake for the enjoyment of current and future generations. Show your love and support of Lake Tahoe by ordering a California or Nevada Lake Tahoe License Plate. Over 96% of the funds from purchase and renewal fees for Lake Tahoe License plates are used to build, maintain and protect the trails, water quality, wildlife and forest health of the Lake Tahoe basin. New Tahoe License Plate fees benefiting the Tahoe Basin are $50 in California and $61 in Nevada. The annual renewal fee is $40 in California and $30 in Nevada. Personalized plates are also available for additional fees.
