Donner Lake Triathlon Information
2026 brings the 44th Donner Lake Triathlon (DLT) to Truckee, California. For years, the DLT has been and remains the favorite triathlon of many. It’s no wonder as the event features an epic setting, a beautiful and challenging course, and is located very near Truckee and North Lake Tahoe. 2026 also marks the 14th Donner Lake Kids Triathlon and the 12th Donner Lake Half Triathlon. We welcome you to Truckee and North Lake Tahoe. Make sure to plan to stay before or after to experience one of the World’s best sporting playgrounds.
The DLT is owned and operated by Big Blue Adventure, LLC. Big Blue Adventure produces many sporting and endurance events, including the Lake Tahoe Triathlon, Truckee Half Marathon, Tahoe Trail Running Series, XTERRA Lake Tahoe, and other Epic Truckee Tahoe events.
Triathlon Rules
USA Triathlon has issued rules to maintain consistency and order from race to race across the country. The rules include sections on membership and rules of conduct for swimming, cycling, running, and transition. Special sections on protests, hearings, appeals, and rule modifications for physically challenged athletes are also included.
